Ibn Jarir has reported Prophet
Ibn Jarir has reported Prophet (sallAllahu ‘alaihi wa sallam) had asked people of Madinah to promote agriculture by increased cultivation. According to one narration the Prophet advised people to promote their business by increasing trade in clothes because a cloth merchant always wishes that the people remain prosperous and free from worries. Also He (sallAllahu ‘alaihi wa sallam) persuaded many people to go to Oman and Egypt for trade.

If you see someone afflicted by misfortune say [to yourself]
If you see someone afflicted by misfortune say [to yourself]: "Praise is to Allah Who has spared me what He has afflicted you with, and preferred me greatly above much of what He has created." This supplication will remind you of the favors of Allah upon you as well as make you feel the troubles that people are going through.
